American Academy in Rome
The American Academy in Rome is the largest American institution abroad for advanced study and research in Arts and HumanitiesIt is also known for hosting the most important artists and scholars who influenced the world of art, music, culture and literature in the 20th century (including Fëdorovič Stravinskij, Salvador Dalì, David Lang and, more recently, Paolo Sorrentino).
Fondazione Sviluppo e Crescita CRT Italian Fellowship
The partnership between the Foundation and the AAR has been active since 2018 and has enabled the Foundation to:
- upport the Fellowship of artists in the field of visual arts who were born in Piedmont and/or whose work has relevant connections with Piedmont;
- to be included in the international geography of those active in supporting emerging artists, thereby also increasing the visibility of local artists both nationally and internationally.
The Foundation’s fellowships are part of the Fellowships for Italians (3 per year in total), which are in addition to the 30 fellowships for US artists and scholars to provide them with work and study experience at the Academy’s headquarters in Rome. It lasts approximately 6 months and the fellowships include accommodation and a monthly salary.
The scholarships awarded so far to artists from the region are: Ra de Martino, Renato Leotta, Corinna Gosmaro, Sara Enrico and Manuele Cerutti.
